Synopsis
The most
popular soap on television hangs in the balance because Delilah Connors has
lost her mojo. Her agent decides she needs a break.
Delilah disagrees but when her agent says jump, she jumps! She heads for the outback on a bus tour from hell. The coach smells, her seating partner is an octopus and the road leads nowhere she wants to go. It’s all too much.
She grabs her bags and hits the track. The trouble is the track leads to two small children and a widowed farmer. The kids are cute but not cute enough to compensate for an archaic kitchen and the filthy flies. Just when she’s getting the hang of the outback, the flies and that sexy farmer she’s summoned back to the big smoke.
Blake makes a last ditch attempt to plead his case but amongst the glitter and glamour of the Sydney film elite, he is way out of his depth.

“You did well. Luckily, Lilly
knows what to do in times like these.” He tucked a strand of hair behind her
ear and grinned. “How about you sit up on the back of the ute for the rest of
the afternoon, hmm?”
“Good idea.” She turned to the
ute and hobbled over before putting her hands on the edge to lift herself up.
Strong hands gripped her around the waist and Blake lifted her up. Once she was
sitting on the hay bale with Lilly, he smiled and headed back toward the sheep.
As Delilah watched him leave, he turned back to smile at her again, sending her
heart fluttering.
“Don’t go anywhere near the
snake. They can still bite hours after they die.” Bluey nodded toward the snake
as he spoke.
“Have no fear about that, Bluey. This is
as close as I want to be ever again unless you plan on turning it into a pair
of stilettos for me.” She glanced over her shoulder at the nasty thing,
shivering once again.
Two
His gaze never leaving hers,
Blake held his arms out by his side. She undid the button on his jeans. With a
smile, Del slid the zip down, pushing his hands away as he tried to help her.
She wanted to be the one to take them off, all of the way. Her hands trembling,
she pulled his jeans down, exposing his body to her gaze. She cupped his butt
cheeks, marvelling at the way his muscles twitched in the palm of her hands.
When his pants dropped to the floor, he stepped out of them and kicked them
away.
Her pulse unsteady, Delilah
dropped her gaze down his chest to his stomach and her mouth went dry. With a
mind of its own, her hand skimmed up and touched the soft skin on the head of
his cock. It jerked under her touch and she smiled before wrapping her hand around
the length of him and listened to him suck in a breath.
Blake thrust against her and she
tightened her grip. “No, I don't want it to end like this. I need to be inside
you, Delilah, please.”
Three
She walked up the driveway, knowing his
gaze was on her. At the gate, Del turned and found Blake watching her. Sadness
flowed over her as she turned and headed up the path to the house. If only life
was as simple as Sue claimed it was, but Del knew better. There were too many
secrets and obstacles to clear before they had a decent shot at a long happy
life together. Obstacles Del had to clear away before she could admit that this
was where she wanted to stay.
